The Internship Fair is this Thursday, April 10th from 10am-12pm in the Curb Event Center.
- Find out when are you eligible to intern. If this summer or fall – great! If not, go to the Fair to meet people but make sure you are upfront with your eligibility.
- Research the companies coming. For the complete list, click here.
- Select your top companies and know everything about them so you can have intelligent conversations.
- Prepare your introduction and be prepared to talk about your interests and eligibility.
- Plan your professional attire. First impressions are everything.
- Make sure your resume is perfect and print multiple copies to distribute at the Fair. Also take a notebook, something to write with, and your business cards if you have them.
- Speak with your top companies and if you have time, challenge yourself to establish connections with more.
- Shake hands and ask for business cards so you can follow up and continue the conversation/relationship.
- FOLLOW UP – write thank you notes to all of your established connections.
- Land your dream internship!
